  I recently had a stillbirth and was lost as to all the arrangements I had to make. Ian was very helpful and supportive. He helped me through every step and made sure that I was aware of all of my options. I can not imagine a better experience for what I had to go through. I would recommend his services to anyone needing assistance after the loss of a loved one. Thank you Ian.

  While on a cruise last month, my father passed away. If it had not been for Ian's incredible help, planning and attention it could have been a nightmare. Before we left Ian had suggested we make a funeral plan just in case (my father was elderly). We made plans for ourselves, including death insurance in a foreign country, and planned ahead for my father as well. Luckily we did. Ian took care of EVERYTHING until we got back a couple of days later. I could not have gone through my dad's passing without Ian by our side. We felt so incredibly taken care of and had nothing to think about at all as Ian did everything, thought of everything, and went far beyond what we could ever ask for in service and compassion!! Ian, you are a Godsend and we are so happy to place ourselves in your care. I will recommend you to everyone I know! I have known many funeral directors in my profession but have never met anyone who could compare, even in the slightest, to your level of professionalism, compassion and general "gift" of service to those who grieve.   Arbutus Funeral Services was simply superb in effortlessly handling the arrangements for the passing of my father. Within days of engagement all critical items such as viewing, church services, reception, chapel services and burial arrangements were expertly planned and carried out. Under Mr. Elliott's conscientious guidance, I could not have hope for better management in handling the funeral arrangements, and his caring sensitivity was a source of significant solace during such a stressful period.
