  The bigger landscaping companies want $$$ and use backhoes, major machinery etc. and are very rigid in their method - we had some quotes in the 40ks which was absolutely not happening!!

  Be prepared to complete the job yourself. Best advice is to hire anyone else instead. Get a written and firm price and detailed description of work before starting. Do not advance any money. The work he did do was good though.

  Tom did great work for us last summer at a reasonable rate. We got a beautiful rock retaining wall, two matching staircases - one with a levelled out gravel pad, he dug up and levelled our pre-existing patio, made us a gravel/mulch pathway, laid sod, and created a BBQ pad out of materials we already had. Our yard before was a disaster! He's very willing to "think outside the box", be creative and flexible to work within your budget, vision, materials, or pre-existing landscape.

  Thomas did a great job on a 120 ft wall for me. The price was good, and the granite wall looks very professional and will retain my garden for years to come. He also assisted in helping me finding a very skilled excavator operator.

  Tom executed an idea we had for a beautiful garden border, literally took the idea out of my head and made it a reality. He quickly made room in his schedule to work within our time constraints. His price quoted was very reasonable and he delivered very high quality workmanship with an attention to detail that is admirable, not to mention very hard to find out there. He's now helped us visualize the next step in the big picture, and is working on making that happen for us, as well. We couldn't be happier with his work, trust his skill and advice implicitly, and will be happy to recommend him to our friends.   ... and now (a few weeks later) I am able to post pictures of the project with phase 2 completed! We love the work that Tom did. He contacted us once he had sourced out and obtained the amount and perfect match of rock we were short for our project (as we were using up leftovers from our home), matched it beautifully, and completed the stonework on the side of our shed and even made us a beautiful little front step with the leftovers from the garden wall (also leftover blocks from our home). We're thrilled. Already dreaming up next year's rock work plan for elsewhere on our property. Maybe a stone patio by the firepit, Tom? Thank you so much! We will recommend you highly to our friends!
